Between 18th & 21st April, a brand-new flower show came to Manchester, focusing on the themes of urban gardening and houseplants.
In a departure from the traditional RHS show, it was housed entirely indoors, in the vast industrial space of a former railway, at Depot Mayfield. It focused on the growing movement of urban gardeners and city dwellers and the increasing connection between horticulture, wellbeing and sustainable living.
Blue Diamond Garden Centres is leading the way in British Grown peat-free houseplants through our collaboration with The Horti House and we were keen to champion the best of British growers and their environmental credentials.
At the premiere RHS Urban Show, Blue Diamond exhibited a life-sized indoor apartment, which showcased our extensive range of British Grown peat-free houseplants.
As the UK's largest garden centre group, we are committed to developing best practice in environmental sustainability. The move towards peat-free helps to conserve rare peatlands and their unique biodiversity, as well as combatting climate change.
