From 2nd -7th July, Blue Diamond Garden Centres will be exhibiting at RHS Hampton Garden Festival, where we will have two stands; one in the Floral Marquee, in collaboration with the National Trust (Stand FM 163) and an exhibit in the Festival of Roses (FR 701), showcasing our brand, Fryer’s Roses.
Rosa 'Believe in Yourself'
At this year's event, Blue Diamond Garden Centres' Fryer’s Roses are to launch a new and exclusive rose. Launched on behalf of the charity the Stroke Association, rosa ‘Believe in Yourself’ is bred by Rosen Tantau and is a compact shrub rose, growing to a height of approximately 50-80cm. It flowers with open, pollinator-friendly, highly fragrant and purple/pink blooms. The Blue Diamond Garden Centres Group will donate £1 to the Stroke Association, from every Believe in Yourself rose sold.
Over 88,000 people survive a stroke every year in the UK, but surviving is just the start of a long and traumatic recovery journey. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing life-long tailored support for all stroke survivors and their families. The charity also funds vital scientific research, and campaigns to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke. The Stroke Association is here to help survivors and their families find the strength and support they need to find their way back to life.
Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, even children − anyone can have a stroke, and its impact on lives at any age is traumatic. Every experience of stroke is different, and each journey of recovery is unique. We believe no survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support.
Right now, the Stroke Association can only reach one-third of the survivors who most need support. We want to reach all those in need of our support, but we can only do this with the generosity of our donors and supporters like Blue Diamond Garden Centres. We’re incredibly grateful they have chosen to launch the beautiful rosa ‘Believe in Yourself’ to support the Stroke Association and raise vital funds for people affected by stroke.

‘The Octavia Hill Garden by Blue Diamond with the National Trust’
At RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival, visitors to the show will be able to see a snapshot of the Show Garden from Chelsea, in the Floral Marquee, where Blue Diamond Garden Centres and the National Trust have an exhibit (FM 163).
Blue Diamond Garden Centres and the National Trust were delighted to work with multi-award-winning garden design practice Ann-Marie Powell Gardens to create a ‘People’s Choice’ award-winning Show Garden for this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Garden was also awarded the New RHS Children’s Choice Award and a Silver-Gilt Medal. It channelled the ethos of pioneering social reformer, Octavia Hill (1838-1912), a founder of the National Trust, who believed that ‘the healthy gift of air and the joy of plants and flowers’ were vital in everyone’s life.
For me, the People’s Choice Award was the award I wanted to win the most because I feel the public voted for a true gardener’s garden. A garden that is the most relatable and one that can truly inspire and according to Bernard, the Head Gardener at Bridgemere; “it is the only garden he would want to live in”

Visitors to the show will also be able to create the ‘Chelsea Look’ at home, as Blue Diamond has curated a plant collection of plants that were in or inspired by The Octavia Hill Garden by Blue Diamond with the National Trust. The National Trust Chelsea Plant Collection by Blue Diamond is designed to enable people to create their own ‘outdoor sitting room’ and nature-friendly space - both of which were central themes to the Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
As part of Blue Diamond’s commitment to sustainable production, all these plants are potted in peat-free compost and recyclable pots.
The National Trust Chelsea Plant Collection is also available to buy exclusively in all Blue Diamond Garden Centres, whilst stocks last.
